Ethibond Excel suture is a nonabsorbable surgical suture composed of braided polyester fibers. The material consists of high molecular weight, long-chain linear polyesters, providing superior strength and durability. The suture features a specialized highly adherent coating, which is a relatively nonreactive, nonabsorbable compound.
